This place is amazing. Beautiful bar. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. A really good fish fry with the best German pancakes I have ever had. The old fashioned was one of the best! This place should have a line to get in but it was very quiet. You owe it to yourself to try it. So good!

Julie (Jules)the bartender/waitress is so personable and friendly. She makes you feel like you have been friends forever. She is like a sweet little sister. Shannon the chef takes her time to make sure your meal is amazing. The really cool thing is if you tell Shannon what you are in the mood to eat She will create a masterpiece that is not even on the menu. Do yourself a favor and stop by this historic gem for a drink or a classic dinning experience. Five out of five stars.

Please note that virtually all of the one and two star reviews are from long ago before the new owners took over. The new owners and Shannon, the bartender/manager have completely turned this place around and they are working at making a better everyday. The menu keeps changing and getting better and better. If they would just offer a better variety of local craft brews on tap I could give it six stars!

Beautiful building, very friendly host and service staff. The pretzel appetizer was fantastic, as were our salads. Wish the fish fry cod and filet steak and their sides would have kept up the momentum. Still worth a try, but this place needs to step up their entree quality to justify the price.

Shannon, the manager/bartender was so nice. We had some cheese curds and bacon wrapped water chestnuts, a couple of drinks. Enjoyed the decor. Old bar metal ceiling and unique barstools. We are going back for prime rib today.
