Love, Love, this restaurant. Had the pumpkin mushroom soup, which sounds weird but is outstanding. I had the short rib for dinner and my wife had the grilled eggplant. The short rib was very tender and delicious. The portion was good as well. My wife loved the grilled eggplant. Alcoholic drinks were very good. Service was a little slow. I think they were a little short staffed.

So, looking for a restaurant that serves mushroom soup, we endeavored to try the Back Burner Restaurant. The atmosphere is very romantic although the lighting could be a bit more reader friendly as I struggled to see the menu. But what an amazing meal! We started with the stuffed crab imperial mushrooms. Then on to the pumpkin mushroom soup, which I had never heard of, let alone tasted but amazing! And then for the main course. We went with the chef suggestion sirloin and the brazed short rib. A steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare, and a very large portion. The short rib was amazing! Chefs grilled carrots, potato puree along with his amazing sauce, which I could have used a little bit more of but nonetheless, perfect fall-aparty goodness. Our hostess, Diane was absolutely amazing. Very friendly, personable, and a delight to talk to. We hope to return soon. And did I mention the superb cocktails? Do yourself a favor, skip the Redfire and go to the Back Burner. You won't be disappointed.

Yesterday, I had one of the best lunches of my life at the Back Burner. So many layers of flavor on a veggie burger! My friend loved her quiche and pumpkin mushroom soup. I wish that I lived closer!

The hummingbird cake is out of this world!

The vibe is eclectic and an attempt to be upscale. "Fancy food", high prices for what you get..unique selections. It was alright.
