Everything was delicious. I did not expect my crab soup to have corn & green beans in it and I expected more crab for the price. Lemon Drop Martini was on point. Out seating has a great view of the water. Very relaxing. Great atmosphere. Got there early 4pm before my 430pm dinner reservation and sat at the bar expecting to get an app & drink for Happy Hour and was told they don't have Happy Hour. So I just waited for my dinner reservation. Otherwise great meal, drink and atmosphere.

Much improved over last visit 4 years ago for my bday dinner. Once Chef Banks took the place over for himself, the same group I dined with 4 years ago suggested we give Banks Seafood a try. Service was exceptional and thorough. From the phone call reservation including me mentioning two in the party are Celiac/gluten intolerant, almost immediately greeted by a very well trained, knowledgeable, friendly server. Food portion size was appropriate for price range. Every dish we ordered had very unique, yet consistent flavors and also everything was correctly cooked to order. We look forward to returning again in the near future. * In nice weather, outdoor riverfront seating is hard to beat. Bartenders make a mean fresh ground espresso martini!*

My wife and I went to see the ABBA movie at Christiana and decided to try Banks in Wilmington. What a treat! Excellent venue! Terrific food! Fantastic service from Patrick! And we got to meet and talk with the chef/owner David Banks!
Oysters were amazing! Definitely getting more next time. Flavorful and delicious!
My wife got the 12 Oz NY strip... amazing! I got the lobster in the nude... I love lobster and this did not disappoint! Piled high and nicely prepared! 👌
Drinks were on point... really nice cherry vanilla bourbon coke! Old fashioned was Terrific!
And for dessert, Melissa got the lemon lava blonde... yummy! And I got the famous apricot brandy chocolate truffles! Yes!
Overall... love when the money spent results in a fabulous meal!

I had high hopes going here but was let down at every turn. We struggled to find anything to eat, most things on the menu sounded good at first and were ruined with off the wall add-ons. We ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer. The bread that came with it was toasted beautifully but was harder then rocks and the dip was creamy at first then very bitter after a few seconds. We ordered the crab cakes and scallops for our main course. The scallops were great but everything else on the plate was inedible there was so much vinegar on everything I couldn't even swallow the pear. As for the crab cakes, they were soggy on the inside and at most 2 pieces of lump crab, the rest filler. It came with a mini salad and a corn puree. The corn puree was bland and honestly weird and the salad was once again soaked with vinegar. After spending over $100 for a meal that I walked away hungry from, I would not recommend this place at all. The high point was the water.

Let me start by saying I'm not a seafood person, but this place does steaks very well! The seafood eaters in our group all gave very high praises to their meals. Great atmosphere and cool decor. I understand there's a great walking path that goes by the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were able to enjoy that, but it seems like a great place to talk a still before or after dinner.
