The restaurant is a hidden gem. The food here is great, and worth the money . I came here for my sister’s birthday, party of 3, and it was about $180 plus tip. So if your in the mood to celebrate or have a date night, this is a fine place to go. The place is pretty.. especially in February! Luckily my birthday is in February, they decorate with 1,000 real roses every year .

Went to Basta last night for dinner with colleagues after many years. The menu is fabulous, everything in the menu looked so good!! Manager Don made sure we were well attended to and made us feel very special and welcome. The calamari were crisp and fresh, the best RI calamari I have tasted in years. I ordered the Georges Bank scallops dish. It was out of this world! My colleagues’ dishes were also delicious and each of us was raving about their choice. Tiramisu dessert came beautifully presented. The service was excellent and friendly. I highly recommend Basta restaurant if you are craving upscale Italian food. They have a free parking lot in the back, which is a plus. I will go back soon with my husband!

The co reviewer and came back to Basta for dinner as we were in the area.
The restaurant was clean and comfortable and we sat outside for the evening. Service was good.
We tried the La Posta “Laura” drinks and they were as feisty as their namesake!!
(Worth trying with whiskey or bourbon instead of vodka)
We had the huge tomahawk steak and the chicken Saltimbocca. Both were tasty and served hot.
The cheesecake that night was definitely not the same as the ones that have wowed us in the past. It was kind of odd?

Host doesn't know how to communicate with people. We went early for our reservation She said she would check to see if she could seat us. Three couples walk in and got seated in 20 minutes.
