While out for a country back road drive, we stopped at the Charcoal Grill for lunch. This was our first time but we will definitely return. Great friendly service and very good food with large portions. Cheese curds were outstanding!

We used Charcoal Grill for our catering for our wedding and it was just okay. The customer service and working with Sarah was great. However the day of our wedding the food did not taste as good as when we did our food tastings, which might be expected. But I was really looking forward to the chicken cordon bleu because it was delicious in the tasting, but my chicken was very dry and almost hard to swallow. We had people compliment the food, so maybe others were better. But in general I was somewhat disappointed with the actual dinner. Salads, appetizers, and service the day of were great. Also, about a month before our wedding, they told us they were raising the prices for each plated dinner by $2 per person… it made me wonder if they do that to everyone, so watch out or be prepared for this! It made me somewhat upset especially with the way the food actually came out the day of…

Talk about a rip off.
Ordered a $25 pizza. Crust was premade. No toppings and no cheese. The sauce was out of a can. Tasted like plan old tomato sauce. Could had a better pizza from the grocery store. Only positive experience was the free water.
Never ever will we be back. Shame on you charcoal grill.

Invited guests for dinner on Sunday.
I have been @ Charcoal Grill a number of times in the past, however, this time was the worst.
We ordered the Walleye finger appetizer.
It was served overdone, with only 2 fingers & five overcooked nuggets. Tasted greasy and not appetizing at all. Next came the entrees. One guest ordered the Wedge Salad. It was presented as unwashed, complete letttuce head, quartered, with stem still present, little blue cheese & even less bacon. Should have sent back but guest made the best of it, leaving more than 1/2 on plate. Other guest ordered the pulled pork sandwich that had more Baby Ray Barbecue sauce than beef.
Sweet potato fries were not cooked, not tasty & not appreciated at all. A very poor presentation and even less than quality. I am looking for another restaurant that serves quality.

What a great restaurant. The server was very friendly and helpful. Interesting menu, great location, amazing food. They had a wonderful beer selection. I chose to order the salad, soup, and bread combo. All three were delicious! including the cinnamon butter. Yum! I highly recommend The Charcoal Grill in Burlington, Wisconsin!
