There's a first -- and last -- time for everything. While staying near UVM Medical Center, I was looking for something quick and healthy, without having to sit down at a restaurant. Roasted chicken sounded good, and seemed like a healthy choice alternative to fast food. I ordered the 1/4 chicken leg/thigh meal combo and got it to go. When I arrived at Hope Lodge (about 2-3 minutes away) and opened my dinner (in a sealed box that would have been difficult to open at the counter) I discovered a mangled chicken leg and thigh that were smaller than most chicken wings. I seriously thought that they had made a mistake and given me a wing. The chicken was flavorless, with no seasoning on the rubbery skin. A side of steamed vegetables was cold and crispy. I didn't even bother dipping the smashed dinner roll in the cup of what I guess was supposed to be gravy (gelatinous, clear, and completely unappetizing). I cheated and skipped most of the dinner, opting to indulge in the slice of cheesecake I'd treated myself to for dessert. It was still frozen and lacked any "Wow!" but at least it was more filling than my chicken wing. For $25, I should have flown the coop and dined in at someplace more reliable.

Ooooooh! Let me say that again, ooooooh!!! My first time there, second for the rest of my family and my goodness, it was so delicious!! We ordered the giant ultimate feast which is a total value for the money. We ordered a bit too much but who doesn't love leftovers? Will always recommend this place and will definitely be coming back for more!! Yum! 😋, Keep it up you guys!!

The food was delicious and arrived quick thanks to a polite delivery driver. I would've given 5 stars but they forgot to give me the baked beans and French fries we ordered. We have to date tried: their Ribs (tasty but small), burgers (delicious and big), amazing maple bbq wings, fried chicken (crispy and tasty), chicken strips ( huge and dripping with great flavor glazes), and a vast selection of great sides. Thier gravy is beyond reproach, the rotisserie chicken is moist and flavorful, and their prices are very reasonable. I took away a second star because I just ordered the sirloin tips and for $20 I got 6 small pieces (size of a quarter) that were tasty but tough. Still a great restaurant.
