Everything about my experience last night was delicious. I ordered the plantain skillet and chicken enchiladas and was pleasantly surprised. My friend ordered the season salad, which consisted of crab, charred romaine, corn and a guacamole dressing. Our server, was attentive without hovering, and made sure we had everything we needed. There was some type of trivia event going on, but I wasn't paying much attention because I was focused on the food. My only issue was the margarita, it was a little too sweet for my taste and kind of small, but other than that great experience.

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but few things inhibited me from it.. 1- our waitress was fairly unversed with the menu and when asked for removal of chicken from the enchiladas (since no cheese/non meat enchilada options were not available) she wasn't sure if this could be done?!?! Not sure that I've ever heard of a customer not getting to pick if they don't want a meat item in the meu, 2- the restaurant was essentially empty but I had super difficult time booking for party of 8, not sure if it's a staffing issue but I called few times and kept being informed that there wasn't anything available.. to my surprise when I arrived... the restaurant was almost fully empty, 3- a very limited menu, 4- I asked for tacos without bacon and it came out filled with bacon... this was promptly addressed but honestly I think the item was simply placed on a plate and the bacon pieces were attempted to be fully removed because when the item returned I again found some pieces in the dish.. at this point we had been there longer than desired which brings me to my next point, 5- food took way too long to come out. 6- molten cake was at best average, almost tasted like it had been defrosted.
Now to the good points, 1- nice, location, appears to be a gentrified location, 2- Restaurant is nicely designed, fairly large and clean, 3- The waitress was pleasant and did fill drinks quite promptly so that was nice, 4- the food that I ordered was quite tasty and delicious.
Overall I don't think I'll come back. If they expand the menu, more informed staff and appropriately fix mistakes then I may consider future trip in this direction... which I don't suspect will happen any time soon.

Food was DELICIOUS!!!😋 and our waitress was AWESOME!!!😁
The only downside was the "front of house/hostess" her way of greeting was stern and cold, not very inviting. Her "how may I help you" felt more like [what are you doing here] than a [I'd really like to help]
Usually when you walk into a restaurant it's a "welcome to xxx, are we dining in/taking out today?"
Not "may I help you???😐🤨"
Also a physical menu would be nice*

We met friends for dinner at 5:30 pm and were the first people seated on the patio. Service was super slow. Other tables seated after us were served way before we were. The drinks were eh. I had a Lime in the Coconut with top shelf tequila and it was bland. I had requested sugar on the rim and got salt. Our friend ordered a margarita with salt on the rim and got sugar. Then I tried a margarita with top shelf tequila and it was also bland. Our waiter mentioned the bartender was new. The chips and salsa was very good but we were only given a tiny bowl of salsa. We asked for more and it took a while to get it. I had chicken enchiladas and I didn't finish them because they didn't taste very good. My husband had chicken fajitas but they weren't sizzling or even hot when the food came out. We all agreed the best part of the meal was the house made corn cake. I don't think we will be going back.
