First time here. My steak was absolutely amazing! Great flavor, no sauce needed! My husband have the fried chicken, he said it was juicy and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was ok. Staff was decent. It is a bit pricey though and that’s why I couldn’t give it 5 stars. 2 meals and one child came out to $75 plus tip.

I strongly suggest early reservations for Friday fish fry. This restaurant gets packed very quickly. Also, parking: they have a sizable lot, but again they get packed. So there is street parking to the east along the city street.
For the Friday fish fry, they do not have perch, but they do have cod (battered) and they have walleye (battered and pan-fried).
Always remember: regardless of the rising cost of everything, your wait staff and kitchen staff are human beings, tip them generously.

This place is phenomenal. Had the roast beef sandwich, excellent! Our bartender was awesome, went way out of her way to find a certain vodka!

Like the prime rib sandwich & we have had it several times but we probably won't have it anymore. It is way OVER PRICED!! $18 just for the sandwich. I would pay $8 which is all its worth but NOT $18. The bun is thick & there's hardly any meat on it. We will go back again but will try something else. We will see how that goes. P.S. The french onion soup is good.

The Prime Rib was fantastic! Absolutely one of the better places for it. The Flat Iron steak was also delicious, but be prepared for the Bourbon sauce to have a little bite to it. The only thing I was disappointed in was the haystack onions. Unlike the Pickle fries which were a perfect mix of batter to pickle... the haystack onions were almost all batter and over-cooked to a crunchy state. The only time in over 30 years I have ever not eaten all of them, nor did I take any home. So as long as you don't order them, lol... the food is awesome. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite... more than once. (^_^)/~
