Going to this restaurant is like stepping back in time. It felt like i was visiting a old time western style restaurant. Even the staff mad us feel nostalgia. The restaurant was pretty run down, especially the bathrooms, but it made me felt even more that I took a step back in time. I enjoyed the over all atmosphere. We came to the restaurant around 10pm and it was quite dead. It was so quiet inside due to this, but the service was outstanding. Patricia, our waitress was incredibly sweet and continously checked on us. Her hospitality and the atmosphere of the whole restaurant brought me to my child hood days. The food was quite large and satisfying for the price. The child menu was incredibly cheap $3.99 in comparison to other restaurants. Also the price over quantity was not to bad. The chicken fried steak was our favorite and the waffle/pancake batter is made directly from the restaurant. My daughter loved the ice-cream, which also had a homemade taste to it. Overall satisfaction was great due to the hospitality and food quantity. Thank you.

Good diner vibes and decent food. The breakfast was definitely not as good as the lunch options, but overall the service was great and the prices were relatively cheap and worth it. I wouldn’t recommend it as a must go spot, but it’s a nice place to eat out and enjoy the ambiance. I would recommend the lunch options such as the Chicken Fried Steak, and they have discounts/specials for breakfast (7-10A), lunch (11-1P), and dinner (5-8P), so go then if you can.

So much food! I walked in a realized this was a diner, so I knew I should try their chicken fried steak. And they served the southerner breakfast with TWO full chicken fried steaks, 2 eggs, and hash browns (or grits). I only wish I had gotten the gravy on the side so I could have reheated my leftovers easier. Was it the highest quality or best breakfast I've had? No. But it was a lot and they're open late!

The diner is as I remember Kettle to be. Last one I visited was in Victoria, and about 1992 or 1993. The flavors and ambiance take you back to a time when you could sit down to a delicious breakfast table and enjoy a wonderful meal. Plenty of coffee and conversation to start, or finish, your day!! Highly recommend the omlettes. I prefer to build my own!
