Food and drinks were fire and prices were fair (especially compared to nearby Boston). Highly recommend the rum, chartreuse and lime cocktail. The bone marrow and homemade green spaghetti were phenomenal

The staff and environment were pleasant enough. I ordered the strip steak. The portions were shockingly small, and the whole meal was salted to death. All flavor was completely masked by salt, to the point that it stung my mouth. I was not asked if I enjoyed the meal, I would have appreciated the opportunity to give them feedback in person.

Picked up takeout with the restaurant week menu. Was so excited to try this place but was very underwhelmed. Got the fish and the tenderloins and they were tasty but just underwhelming. The fish looked like it was just tossed on some lentils and that's it. The tenderloin was very good but the sides were okay. We looked at review photos and we knew the portions weren't giant based on the photos, but ours just looked much smaller/less compared to the photos.

Ordered takeout as part of restaurant week. Everything was nicely packaged and quality top notch. The pork was cooked nicely and sides well seasoned. Everything almost seemed intentionally a bit underdone so upon reheating it was perfect, not mushy. Soup was great and dessert well done. Looking at the regular menu after and realizing the dessert surcharge I paid I don’t think Restaurant Week actually saved me money, but that just means the restaurant is a good value year round!

Service was excellent. Food was fresh, seasonal and perfectly sized. We’re not big on dessert, but our starters and entrees were so good that we went for it. The toffee molasses and date cake with ginger ice cream and the bubino (?) chocolate mousse/pudding was equally fantastic. It had been almost 20 yrs since our last visit, but New Rivers is back on our short list.
