Traveling home after visiting family in Wyoming, we spent a night in Brookings, S.D., and had a really nice time at The Pheasant Restaurant. We enjoyed a bottle of Malbec along with perfectly prepared grass-fed bison and asparagus, and chicken breast with mushrooms, Swiss and mashed potatoes on the side. And for the final treat: salted caramel cheesecake. Our server, Mady, was a sweetheart. We also appreciated the excellent wine service by the bartender, whose name we didn’t catch. All in all, a great find miles and miles away from home.

They have some of the best prime Rib I've had in a long time. Also our server was awesome. We will be back for sure. A must stop when in Brookings.

The service and ambiance was great, the meal was just okay, chicken was small and dry. For the price we were expecting better food. I don't know if I'll be going back for dinner anytime soon.
