We went to TGI Fridays last night (Sat) with friends and my 7-year-old grandson. When we walked in, the place was halfway full. We got seated right away at the first table very close to the front door. We waited for 15 minutes with no server to stop and say Hi. People were streaming in by this time. Some people were standing in the doorway, allowing the cold air to come in. Flagged down a waitress for help on finding who would be our waiter. Very poor planning on the hostess part. When he did show up and took our drink orders, we also ordered salsa and chips. Also ordered 2 pot sticker appetiters .took a long time to get the drinks to the table. We eventually got the chips, no appetizers. It was a frustrating experience. We 1 drink of 5 showed up we were told our tea was being made, 5 minutes more. The appetizer and meal showed up at the same time. I told the server while ordering, I wanted time in-between appetizer and meal. He said, "NO, PROBLEM." The only good thing was the food was good. I still gave server at 20% tip, but all of us were upset.
I got a reply from the TGI FRIDAYS response team. Blew me off. Come see us again, glad you had a good experience. I didn't. Does someone actually read these posts?

Food was good....but ordered to go and food was supposed to be ready at 8:28pm, I arrived at 8:30 to pick it up and it wasn't ready. Not only was the food not ready...the hostess at the front had an attitude that I was asking why the food wasn't ready. Food didn't finally come up until 9pm. Just a heads up if you order food to go from this location...show up 15 minutes after the time it says it'll be ready so that you'll only end up waiting about 15 minutes for your food.

This franchise is in need of a makeover. There is no need to drip the cheese and vegetables all over the flatiron steak. Let the steak and sauce work on its own. Also, need to brighten up the decor.
