The food was delicious and the service was great! The price vs size of the meals is what threw me off.
I ordered fish and chips w/ 3 walleye fillets, for $16. Very good very generous portion. My wife ordered the Korean BBQ pork bun taco. It came out with three little delicious tacos, I don't remember the specific price, definitely over $10, maybe over $12.
The big one that got me were 4 butterflied shrimp, no side. They were cooked perfectly! With the perfect amount of flavored sauce, perfect crunch to the breading and a beautiful presentation. They cost $14. I wouldn't have even thought about the prices if it weren't for this one.
The place was busy

I have been here one time. I needed to kill time and stopped in for a drink. The bartender was very nice but not knowledgeable on their whiskey options. Huge facility with lots of seating.
I’ve been here a few more times, always great. Christy is the bartender that has always been there, she’s very nice. Most of the time it’s packed but if you’re patient, a spot will open up. I’ve been there alone and with others. Good place for a date or to watch a game.

I went on their 2nd day; the place was packed by the time I left at 6pm. I did not enjoy my chicken sandwich, but I will go back for a second impression and definitely plan on trying the pizza! It looks delicious. EDIT: It's 4yrs later and I need to update my review. This place has become a favorite of mine. Whatever issues I experienced during my first visit have been hammered out and I can now rely on great food and service. Definitely recommend!

We love the Barrel House! We always have excellent service and the food is always delicious! We especially love their onion rings, the best in town! 😋 Happy hour prices are the best in the area!

The duck fat fries were good. They were a little too salty, but doable. The macaroni and cheese over pulled pork was greasy and not as good as I would have expected. I used a few napkins to try to sop it up. It was a small portion and I barely ate half of it. I liked the feeling of the restaurant and we had a lot of fun talking while eating/drinking. I would give it another try at some point.
