This was a random Google find and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice and the food was great. I didn't ask but the Marine Corps flag outside was a draw for me being one myself.
Even on a fish fry night we got in and out quickly, could just do with more room. But the smallness give it the cool vibe.

Killer cheese curds and fried pickles!
The special burger on sourdough was okay, so I wish I would of tried the street tacos or something a bit more adventurous. The haystring onions were outstanding as well - amazing flavor.
I will be making the hour drive with my wife for date night in the near future.
The service was solid and friendly.

Though people rave about the Hale House, I think that's a bit overstated. It has very good food, but not great. It has a good atmosphere, but it is small and somewhat noisy. And the good service is what you'd find at any good family restaurant. They have some unique dishes which go a log way; that takes them beyond three stars, but I don't see why people stand in line to eat there. Notwithstanding, it's good, so I can easily say that you may want to find out for yourself if it's the social inflence or the food.

Burgers seemed like they were made with frozen patties, fries were soggy & greasy, onion rings were so over cooked you couldn't even tell there were onions in them, the bottled beer was warm & the Caribbean chicken dip was horrible. Best part of the meal was the home made chips.
Recently came back, had the cheese curd burger and chips. The burger was excellent and the service was awesome. It was also great to see people acting normal in the middle of a fake pandemic.

I had the Tuscan Salmon. It was delicious!
The carrot cake was massive and too much for me to finish.
I will definitely eat here again.
