There are three things we really enjoyed about our experience here. First, and this caught us off-guard, is that the intention is for the plates to be shared. We didn't know that walking in. The plates are more generous than at a typical tapas restaurant, which is perfect, because you really want to try as many things as possible from the menu. Second, everything was "farm-to-table" and there was lots of fresh veg. It was wonderful to have fresh veg be a prominent part of each dish. Third, the food was delicious. Once you order, the chef curates the order of the dishes to give the best flavor sensation. If you are tired of the same old, same old, try The Shallows for a delightful change of pace.

Accidentally found the shallows after an incredible day at the beach. This husband and wife team really did everything right. The service is incredible and the food will blow your mind. Not to mention their drink menu is fantastic and very creative. One thing to note since everything is local the menu changes fast. So go ahead and order that extra dish because you'll absolutely love it... We can't wait to go back next time we're in town.
