We've eaten here before and the service/food has been great. Today (a Monday) we went and it was fairly busy so we found an open table and sat down. Someone who might have worked there, or been a friendly customer, walked passed and told us to order food on the app and go to the bar to get drinks. I was surprised since we've had servers come to the table before. We ordered food from the app and I went to the window to order beer. The person who walked passed was standing with several friends (all wearing shirts/hats of the bier Stube) and were standing by the bar drinking beer. One went behind the bar and filled a beer up and asked the bartender about 'making money" tonight. I overheard that as I was waiting for the bartender to notice me. Our food came and it was great. As we ate our food we noticed all those folks who filled their own beers at the bar or were wearing "company clothes" still standing around drinking beer as there were at least 4 tables that needed to be bussed and more people coming In. I watched one walk by a table that needed to be bussed, who stopped at the table, looked at it, but then kept walking by. There was no "service" and those who seemed to work there were more concerned about drinking beer with the boys than ensuring customers had drinks and napkins to go along with their food. We don't require much service but kind of expect someone to at least bring napkins and ask about how our food is instead of standing with a group of friends (or coworkers) near the bar and drinking.

Nice selection of German beers that rotate seasonally. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere of many small rooms and not too loud, perfect for a small gathering. The outdoor beer garden has been upgraded substantially, lots of shade, great place the enjoy the outdoors!

Service is okay, beer is awesome - all of them, food was terrible, prices are not worth the visit (food prices, beer prices are reasonable). The atmosphere would be nice but my visit was surrounded my adults playing with fire irresponsibility.
It is obvious, based on the decor and set up of tables, that this was once a very popular German go-to location, but it seems that it has faded.
The outdoor seating is nice and the beer is good, but a food truck would please the customers over what my guests and I were served today.
I recommend going to Old Germantown instead!

Really cute spot for German food plus if you want a big boy burger....they will get one from big boy next door NO kidding !

No servers and online ordering wants your data or you can't order food. Not playing that game. Normally our group has about 8 liters and dinner. Now? 2.5l and we are out.
Need to level off the seating just a little.
Bar is now beer ordering area. The experience isn't as nice and classical as it was.
