This is the best sushi bar in Ames. It is sleek and clean and very modern. The food is fantastic and the service is great. I was very satisfied with the quality of the sushi rolls and the drinks were also awesome. Anytime I’m in Ames and want sushi this is where I will go.

First time dining in. It was wonderful , we were greeted and seated immediately. The ambience was nice. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. She made good recommendations. The food arrived in good time and everything was delicious. Would definitely reccomend.

I was first introduced to Wasabi through a food delivery app during the pandemic; they were our go to for sushi during this time. This last Monday, we finally had an in person visit. The food did not disappoint but unfortunately the service wasn’t what we expected. From the decor, seating, atmosphere and pricing them come off as wanting to be a higher end restaurant but they didn’t deliver on the service. We were seated right away but not greeted by our waitress for quite some time and not really checked on much. They may have been understaffed but they were not very busy at the time we went so it was disappointing from that perspective. We will continue to order their food but not sure we’ll eat inside again.

Blue Fin Toro Tartare. This maybe the best lunch dish I have ever had! Wow! As always, the service at Wasabi is spot-on and attentive.
