We were passing through Portage WI on vacation and stopped randomly at 1873 Grille. We were hungry and it was amazing. It was near closing on a weeknight but Dave welcomed us in and was the chef of our delicious Bourbon boneless wings, crunchy sweet potato fries and and an Angus burger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the bun!!! I wish I lived closer. I would be a regular. Clean and charming decor, and very cold beer on tap.

If you came to watch the game, be prepared for the TV to be shut off at pivotal moments. They close at 7. Also, tap beers are an unbelievable $7/pint. They have great food, but are always shorthanded. If you need a quick bite, you won’t find it here.

Absolutely great food! Very tasteful! The atmosphere was amazing bill was very funny and welcoming, very good at what he does. The man in back was also very nice makes some great food. Definitely worth the stop in portage. Highly recommend.

Cute bar and restaurant, that used to be a medical clinic. Spacious so you don't feel like you are right on top of other patrons. The staff is friendly. The food is what you would expect for bar food. Good, but not amazing.
