Everything was great. I had just returned from a trip to Morocco and they are representing the cuisine quite accurately. Was surprised how similar it was to some of the food I ate there on the streets. Some stuff on the menu is more general to the Middle East too and not specific to one country.
Get some hummus and mint tea if you just want a snack. They eat Tagine literally all the time there so I would get that as a meal if you aren't familiar with the cuisine.

Very cool staff that interact with customers. They have a pretty good selection of hookah. Food is also pretty good, would recommend to anyone looking for a chill vibe.

Best food in Newark, hands down. I've been coming here for years, and the quality is consistently good. Vegans and vegetarians can eat very well here. Try the Moroccan Eggplant Salad.

I have spent 7 years of my life in the Middle East (Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia) Ali Baba is the real deal. Everything is good, but if you have never had bastilla before, give it a try. Bastilla is a Moroccan chicken pastry dish, made with chicken, almonds, saffron, onion, and eggs in a pastry crust, dusted with powdered sugar and cinnamon. It's both sweet and savory.

Live in Newark for almost 6 years, have not been here before. We tried the kabob yesterday and really like it. They put unique spice on the meat. Love it so much, and will be go again soon!
