I 'l o n g' for the pre-pandemic (PP) Bob Evans (1 Mile from my House) of Happy SERVICE, Good FOOD, and a Friendly ATMOSPHERE. PP, it was a pleasure to have smiling service, time and time again. It was consistent. It was expected. It was appreciated. No apologies needed for long waits for a table. No apologies needed for delayed service. No apologies needed for forgotten coffee refills. No apologies needed for delayed food. No apologies needed. Hot coffee and food at a reasonable price was a treat. These days not so many trips to Bob Evans, but optimistic that they will return to their better days of "high-quality food and heartfelt hospitality."

We were told it would be a 35 minute wait. After an hour, we were next to be seated. 30 minutes later we still hadn’t been seated. We were told numerous times that they were waiting for the kitchen to catch up. I watched as the receptionist told a patron it would be a 20 minute wait. I then overheard the receptionist tell a patron that the manager said no one could be seated for 10 minutes. I informed the manager that we brought my 88 yr old mother in law from Maryland and we were leaving. The manager came out and said would you like a booth or table, I told her we were leaving, and left.

Pretty good service overall. I had the Three Meat and Cheese omelet. Pretty tasty and nice size portion. Biscuits were sooo good! I will try French toast next time. They looked petty good
