We just went to Boss Hog barbecue and it was pretty delicious barbecue. We ordered the brisket sandwich with onions and coleslaw, the baked beans and mac and cheese. It really had an authentic Southern flavor and the white white barbecue sauce as well as the Mississippi sauce were spectacular. Unfortunately, since when we got there we found a step in the front of the restaurant we have to deduct one star for access. My wife went in and picked up the food. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the South Plainfield area.

I was feeling hungry and decided to grab a quick bite at Boss Hog Barbecue. They have a very wide selection of meats to chose from such as brisket, pulled pork, ribs, even some chicken options. I went in ordering ribs and the pulled chicken. To start with the ribs I was very nervous once I saw the "Memphis style" written next the ribs. I was curious because Memphis style ribs IN New Jersey??? When I bit into the rib oh my god it was like tasting Heaven. They were juicy, meaty, and extremely tasteful. Next up was the pulled chicken. After talking with the owner Mark he told me "the pulled chicken consists of shredded chicken breast" I was very interested to see how it tasted. And it did not disappoint the chicken was nice and juicy I even tried it with all the sauces. Personally I love how it tasted with the pineapple habanero sauce but even without sauce the pulled chicken was great. Overall this barbecue joint is a 10/10 and can't wait to go back to try some more.

This place is awesome! The food is great and the service is amazing; everyone is so nice and helpful. I had a pretty big order and when I went to pick it up both the owner and Pat helped me put everything into a box and offered to help me bring it to my car. They forgot to put one thing in the bag, but when I called the owner went above and beyond to fix it. Everyone should check this place out.
