Let me just say...OH MY GOSH. This place is a gem.
What I just ate was so satisfying. This review is going to sound glowing but I'm serious.
The bacon cheeseburger was out of this world. Best burger hands down. (I've eaten this year at least!)
And they have pies! You cannot leave this place without some home made pie. I had chocolate cream pie. And yes, it was delicious.
The people who live here are sooo lucky! North Carolina is a beautiful state and this restaurant is amazing.
No surprise it has been around since 1941. Finding a parking space was a challenge and the staff are always hard at work. That should clue you in how good this place really is.
I would be definitely be a regular here.

This is a nice little local restaurant family-owned I would imagine. Friendly atmosphere food was delicious and it was after lunch around 2:30 and the place was packed so usually that means the food and all is good and it was. When my friend and I are out on our motorcycle adventures we always try to eat locally if at all possible family owned type restaurants and this is one that we will surely eat out again the next time we're in that area.

A must stop for lunch or dinner while in the Waynesville,NC area. Home style cooking in a casual setting. Be ready to wait in line but it's worth it!
Update 2021, it's Christmas Time and Clyde's has delicious Turkey and Dressing with 3 sides. We called ahead our order and took it home. Or you can dine in. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This place is wonderful, the food is amazing and the staff is super friendly. It seems like it's always super busy. I highly recommend you give this place a try. You will not regret it.

Food was outstanding…and so was the customer service. We had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and fried okra and green beans, the club sandwich, a cheese burger and a Caesar salad…all outstanding!! The only down was that there were ants in my daughters fruit punch. The waiter quickly apologized and brought out a new drink. Oh and they ran out of mac & cheese and corn bread so go early if you want some!
