First time eating at this wonderful restaurant and so glad we chose it while passing through Waynesville. The entire experience was exceptional from being greeted and seated, to the service provided by our waitress, and the food itself. The food was so good and the portions so large, we wanted to take the leftovers home. Since we were returning home (Charlotte) from a 2 week vacation through several states, we asked for a small bag of ice to put in our cooler to keep the food fresh. Our waitress willingly provided the ice and took extra care to secure the food. Lastly, the music was really good (contemporary bluegrass) and the waitress told me it was Billy Strings on Pandora. So I now have a great Pandora channel to listen to. My wife and I highly recommend this restaurant!!

I especially enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits on this visit. Normally, I am not a fan of grit cakes but this one was very tasty making the overall meal very good and at a reasonable price for this area. The service was excellent as is their norm. We had reservations and our table was ready and waiting for us.

Nice place but it tries to go too Foo Foo. The sweet tea marinated chicken was bland. The tea only added some sweetness and when drenched in flour needed salt and more spice. Also you cannot flash fry fresh green beans and okra they become tough. The meatloaf was more filler than meat inside there was clumps of uncooked scallions. Not sure where goat cheese is prevalent in Southern cooking. But if you go order something with mashed potatoes they were excellent.
