Coconuts has been on my "must-visit" restaurants list for quite some time and I finally made it and boy am I mad I didn't visit sooner. This place was amazing all around. They do not take reservations, but other reviewers recommended that we arrive before 5:30pm to get seated faster and that's what we did. We arrived around 5:30 pm on a Thursday and was greeted by valet, who were very pleasant and welcoming. We were able to get a seat on the water right away (special thanks to the reviewers for the recommendation). Our server, Kelly L, was beyond amazing. She truly has a passion for service and it shows in her exceptional hospitality. To start, we had the spinach and artichoke dip (very good) and the surf and surf oysters, which is oysters topped with crab meat (the best grilled oysters I've ever had in my life). For our main dish I ordered the Jambalaya with a side of crab cake (seasoned perfectly, spice level was just right and overall out of this word delicious) and my wife has the barbecued ribs, which she loved. Our drinks, pink panther and beach cruiser, were a hit as well. Definitely recommend. Food and drinks can be a bit pricey, but it's worth it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be sure to visit again.

Oh boy, what an experience. We ordered our beverages and he got his beer within 10 minutes. The appetizer came and I still didn’t have my cocktail, easily over 30 minutes after he got his beer. I think it came out almost 45 minutes after we ordered. It was one of their standard ones on the menu. We got a conch and shrimp fritter and while it was a bit bigger than a golf ball and cooked through, there was hardly any meat in it. Like, I think I had 4 pieces of something in the entire fritter. If this is how a regular service was going to happen, we weren’t doing it. Paid for what we had and left. Not impressed and thankfully plenty of other seafood places nearby with better service and much better food. No need to torture anyone with another visit. When you deal with tourists and by volume, I guess things can get sloppy. As a local, it’s just another place to avoid.

Valet staff was awful!! We went over for lunch and our friend started to feel sick. He was having a hard time keeping his eyes open, so we stepped outside to allow him to take some breaths and feel better. We stepped outside and he started feeling sicker. We sat him down at the valet parking "station" as there was a chair there. ( We walked there so we didn't even park a car with them) Valet staff basically told us to go away, "this is a place of business" and in case our friend was about to throw up "and who will clean" we will responsible for replacing that chair! He kept harassing us to leave, threatening to call the police if we didn't leave. While the restaurant food and service was good, this experience has been the worst I have ever seen! No concern for our friend, awful comments and no human decency. I have never experienced such awful people. Save your money and go somewhere else. (Restaurant has good food and service, they have been more than great but their valet service sucks!!)
