This is one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been to. Food portions are big and quality of food is excellent. We ordered shrimp fajitas and fajitas quesedillas and both dishes were to die for. Food is fresh and beautifully presented and service is great! Honestly this was the best food we had on our week long vacation in Dakotas.

If you think the best thing in Mitchell, SD is the Corn Palace, think again. El Columpio is one of THE best Mexican restaurants in the United States. Wow! The flavors, quality, quantity and service is outstanding! We had the fish tacos and barbacoa tacos 🌮 which both were SO good. If you leave Mitchell, SD without stopping here, you will be sorry you did. It was simply the best meal we had off 90 and we were driving from Seattle towards Wisconsin! Highly recommend this place! Probably in my top 5 Mexican restaurant in the USA!

Do not miss this place. Looks like a fast food place. Don't be fooled. The service is warm and friendly. The food is fabulous and SO inexpensive. Get z drive through if you must but it's worth a visit. Only wish I wasn't just a lucky passing through customer.
