Delicious! Ordered the shrimp and grits and it was great, it had a little spice and was tasty but you only get four big butterfly shrimp so I felt a little shorted. Also, ordered the gumbo and it was good. I will however mention that I had gumbo before this once and it was homemade from a person from New Orleans and the taste is very, very different. This gumbo was more of souls food flavor versus New Orleans gumbo. All the sides were really good. My only concern was the lemonade, it was so sweet, that we finished out water and left the lemonade the sweetness was too much.

The food came out so quickly and was nice and hot. Pretty impressive for soul food to come that fast. The environment is friendly and welcoming. I love the layout of the restaurant because even when packed, it felt like we were sectioned in our own little space. Fried wings were a nice size. Everything flavorful and enough to take home for a great price.

Been here 3 times and gotta say, it gets better every time. The oxtail is perfect and the fried chicken isn't that far behind. But the sides are great too, particularly love the okra and collard greens, just the right amount of spice and seasoning. The potato salad is just a tad sweet but I still liked it. The catfish was kinda small the one time I got it but might have to try it again one day. The service is strong too,shout out to Jo Jo and Brandon.
