I usually will only write a review if it is great (5) or terrible (1) and tend not to post middle of the road reviews, especially in the case of restaurants were some of the ratings could be subjective based on one's preferences in preparation and seasoning. In this case, I feel compelled to give the eating establishment a 1. We were looking for a place to grab brunch for Mother's Day and called a few days before to confirm they would be open and to check on reservations. The person who answered was polite, explained they don't take reservations and that they would have both their regular menu and a special brunch menu for Mother's Day. It went downhill once we arrived. First up a milk shake was ordered for a couple in the party that didn't want to drink beer or were too young. The person behind the counter acts like the establishment has all kind of rules and you the customer should know them and acts like they are reasonable. He explains that NO CHANGE is give when you pay cash. Surprising since almost no business has problems getting change at this point, but the owner must like paying for credit/debit card charges instead. When we went to order, we were told no, the only menu available was the special brunch menu and that the normal burger/sandwich menu wasn't available until 2pm. No apology, no compassion, just a statement of fact. He then acted frustrated when the person in our party ordering had to return to the table to get new orders from the couple people who had ordered from the regular menu. The establishment has some strange processes. Take the milk shake, though we were sitting less than 25 feet or two table away from the counter, he said he needed a cell phone number because they would text you when your shake was ready to pick up at the counter. Oops, he was able to walk over to let us know they were out of ice cream and couldn't make the shakes. The next trip was to let us know they couldn't make two of the other brunch items that were ordered because they were out of pancake mix. When the order arrived, the food was best described as room temperature for the breakfast potatoes by everyone in the group. Other issues included messed up orders, toast missing from some orders, poached eggs that were so over cooked that they egg yolk looked like a yellow golf ball. Out of the eight people in our party no one was happy. Once we were done, they expect you to bring your plates back up to the counter. Never once did the one person who took the orders, ask how the meal was, thank you act like he cared you came in. What he did do was stare at you leaning over the waste basket like he was checking to make sure no one tossed out a plate or glass. Perhaps it was the counter person, but what sounds like good meals came out cold and you felt like you should be so lucky to even eat there and have the counter person take your order.

Great food but basic and scaled down brewery atmosphere at St. Albans location. Totally different vibe and experience from Williston local

Used to like this place, but I've received terrible food the last few times I've gone. Last night, I received an unwanted burger patty underneath my chicken sandwich. Both the burger and the chicken tasted BAD. Prior to this, I received unwanted bacon on a veggie burger. Very frustrating to continuously receive the wrong order and for the food to taste gross.

I would give 4 stars if the food was better. First off when you get there you notice the lack of proper lighting in the dinning area. If you’re no sitting at the bar, which is nice, then you’re sitting in the shadows. From there we took our own seats and menus, everyone is under staffed so that’s understandable. My husband ordered the Mountain burger and it was well cooked at delicious. I order a burger with the pumpkin quinoa toppings and it lacked a lot of taste. Very disappointing. The black bean burger was tasty. Their Mac and cheese resembled the one in Williston, but had no salt. Another disappointment. Finally the bacon jalapeño ragoons were by far the worst. They were pretty tasteless. The sweet potato fries were delicious. So a mixed bag of good and bland food. Stick to what’s typical and you should be okay. And despite the staff shortage the food came out fast! AND everything was exactly as we had ordered, even with changes. So I gotta give them credit for that. We’ll be back. There aren’t many options in Saint Albans, but we won’t expect things to be as good as their restaurant in Williston.
