Love this place, food and Chef are amazing for the price. I was a bit concerned after reading some of the comments but the place was nice. But it is the greatest little secret French place, it felt like this great clandestine French restaurant.. Yes, it is a bit Quirky like the notebook of rules, which I found were great, chef being waiter, chef and staff. But it was private, intimate and the food was superb. I spent $100 for food and wine, where I would have and have spent $300 say at the Palisades for food and wine. Seeing and talking to the Grouchy Chef was fun and eye opening. I snapped this pic before we read the no pictures part of the notebook. I could not help it the Tuxedo napkins were awesome. I will eat there again. Do go with patience and respect, you can tell this Chef cooks for the love of food. Tell only your close friends.

it was the best experience of my life. Everything was perfect, here is me when eating the salad. you can not get this kind of food anywhere else. In return for it, you just have to be civilized.

Chef delivered an exquisite meal. The atmosphere, the cuisine, and the experience was excellent. We sincerely appreciated our visit and donated to his generous cancer research fund.

He preserves the tradition of fine dining and 5 star food in exchange for your role in the part of the diner. He makes it clear on his website and in his interview for a reservation that if you play your part, he will play his. You will not find 5 star food at the affordable prices he charges. He has a shrine to how American fine dining used to be. It's amazing he's been able to keep to his principles of what's most important to him.
