A great place to eat with an extensive menu of expertly prepared delicious food. All menu items available all day including breakfast. Prices are the best part being moderate without compromising the high quality. Portions are large, enough to share. Coffee was great, atmosphere was hometown feeling, and the wait staff was kind and knowledgeable. Food was served in a timely manner while being hot and fresh. We really liked eating breakfast for lunch here. Hope to return next time we visit family in Wisconsin.

Gus’s Diner is one of the best diner in the greater Madison area. We started coming here last yr after we received a coupon in the mail. First, the wait staff is very polite and nice. They are always checking if you need anything or if your coffee needs a refill. Second, the food is good and value for money. I have tried the ribs or the steaks, and my wife usually goes for the omelettes. Third, their shakes especially their Oreo shake is amazing. The waitress even gave us the additional ice cream. Last but not the least, the ambience is really great. The interior is what would come to your mind when you think of a classic old school diner. There are photos and signs from the 40s and 50s.

Great little diner with an awesome, retro ambiance. I've been here many times and always enjoyed my meals. I love their pancakes; so fluffy and vanillay (I'm calling that a new word). I would totally recommend this place, and I have taken many friends here.
