Is now our favorite restaurant in Troy. Has a solid cheeseburger, fries, shrimp, cole slaw, and oyster lineup. Potato appetizer was better than most also. They were very busy for lunch on a Friday, but my wife and I were able to sit at the bar until a table came open about 5 min later. Service was good, place was clean, not too noisy either. Handicap access was reasonable, but wheelchairs at the entrance might need someone else to help with the doors. Maybe. Again, was probably our best restaurant visit since coming to Troy 2 years ago.

Chicken Sandwich war was ended for me the day I took a bite into Half Shell’s Chicken Sandwich. One of the best items on their very strong menu. This place is slammed every weekend and for good reason. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a good sit down spot in Troy. Takeout holds up as well! Friendly, kind staff with quick service!

We were visiting Troy and chose Half Shell Oyster Bar and Grill to eat dinner at. It was a very nice place to eat. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Food was hot and delicious! Fries were very crispy! Sadly they did not have a crab appetizer my mother wanted so I have been informed I have to take her back. Reminds me of something Guy Fieri would have visited on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.

Only been twice, but both times the food was great. Sat at the bar and talked to the oyster shucking machine named Andrew. He makes some damn fine oysters and is great to talk to. I never ran out of beer. Second time I went we intentionally sat at the bar just to talk to him and watch him work the oysters. Not from the area, but visit Troy often. This place has it all. Service, good food, and reasonable price. You can’t go wrong.
