I was told by a friend I have to eat at Half Shell while in town here for work. They're pretty busy now but I was by myself so I was able to sit at the bar. I got the Oysters Orleans and the Shrimp and bacon grits. The Oysters were amazing! And I'm not an oysters person. I really enjoyed their take on grits too with the potato cakes. It was delicious!

This was my first time eating at Half Shell. The wait was not bad at all. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was mouth watering and absolutely delicious. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they were a little argumentative about accommodating our seating for someone who could not walk the stairs. An investment in a small elevator might be beneficial. Over all my experience was really nice. I will be going back.

Food was excellent, so was the service!!! Oysters were the freshest we've had, and that cinnamon bread pudding was nothing short of divine! We ordered just one to share, ended up ordering 2 more to go! Only thing that was good, as opposed to great, was the crab dip, way too much breading on top that we ended not eating it with the baguette provided. Otherwise, everything was excellent!

This place has the best oysters around! The fish was fresh & beautifully plated. The staff was friendly & attentive. It’s well priced for the quality of food you receive. Don’t pass this one up.

No empathy or understanding. Go across the street to Adventures Pub instead.
Recently my family and I attempted to celebrate a birthday at the Biloxi Half Shell location. Shortly before we arrived I called the restaurant to ask about accommodating us with first floor seating, one of one party is handicapped. The host advised they did have a table for 6 available, on the first floor, but their policy did not all for reservation. I explained we were less than 5 minutes from the restaurant and received a “sorry that’s our policy”. Upon arrival, we unloaded our wheel chair and proceed to the front door only to find the table was no longer available. Then they expected us to wait outside, in the rain, for a table to open up. As our frustration grew an employee then informed us that management would not allow us to bring our birthday cake into the restaurant. “No outside food allowed”, they offered to store the cake in a refrigerator but we could not use the cake as part of the birthday celebration. If they were so concerned about outside food why the offer to store the cake, we felt they simply wanted to sell us desserts. Luckily we decided to go to Adventures Pub, across the street, and had a great time! We were met by accommodating staff good food and had a great time. Thanks Half Shell now we know when to go with our parties in the future.
