Been living in the Newport area close to 10 years and all the times I've passed by this place, today was the day that I actually stopped and got lunch. Walking in, it is a quaint but very clean little restaurant. The staff were super nice and quick to serve me. I had my less than 2 year old with me as well and they had a kids menu and a high chair. I ate the taco platter which came with 2 steak and 2 chicken with a side of rice and beans. It was very good especially if you added their hot sauce to it. Honestly, it was a great atmosphere with delicious food and it's great to bring kids along. I recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I’ve seen this taco truck a few times, never stopped in. So I finally decided to give it a try yesterday. Honestly, the food is just okay. However, the real issue for me was the customer service. The woman who took my order was LESS than enthused. Maybe it was a language barrier? I don’t know but her vibe was more like “annoyed”… “ hurry up and order”, with it being my first time AND the menu being written in Spanish, it took me a second to make my choice. The portion size was very small for a taco platter…$15 is kinda steep. For that much I’d expect a complimentary bag of chips and salsa, not one scoop of rice and literally a spoon full of beans and 4 mini tacos with like 3 chunks of chicken inside. I ordered two platters for myself and my husband our bill was $30 plus $5 tip…..unbelievable. I will not be back. No thank you Taco Mix.

Really good authentic tacos. I tried the platter, which came with rice and beans. I will try them again! The restaurant wasn't open, so they're operating out of a food truck at the moment.
