We've been coming to the Island for ,20 years, but have never eaten at Hudson's, so we thought we should take a chance. We only had a 10 minute wait to be seated outside. Our waitress was prompt in serving us, friendly, helpful and a real joy. The food was as good as the hype. Excellent shrimp and salmon. Great drinks selection. And the Mud Pie dessert was to die for! Yep, we're going back.

Our family decided to visit Hiltonhead Island a couple of weeks ago. In doing some research we came across an article from Forbes magazine about Hudson's and decided the restaurant was a must and it is. If you want the best and freshest seafood this is the place since the owner also owns the docks the fishermen use and gets first pick. No need to say more. The platters are the way to go if you want to try a little of everything and at around $30 they are a good value especially since the seafood is fantastic. My father and I also polished off a dozen oysters in the half shell like they were candy. I had a tuna sandwich and everything we ate was great. Any dish you selected you could choose how you wanted it prepared grilled, blacked, fried...fresh. The drinks were cold and reasonable priced and the servers were super knowledgeable and polite. Our server was awesome and was able to give us some tips about the island. Easy to get to but on north side of island away from the touristy area/strip. We ate outside under umbrellas but they had lots of room inside. I could keep writing but check them out yourself you won't be disappointed.

First time visiting Hilton Head and asked around for the best seafood restaurant and everyone said Hudson’s! It did not disappoint! Extremely busy restaurant and people waiting for both indoor and outdoor dining.
Ordered the seafood platter which contained scallops, shrimp, devilled crab, fried oysters, and fresh fish plus two sides! Amounts were plentiful and all so delicious and you could taste the freshness! Great options for ambiance seating on the dock, however due to busy time we were kind of stuck inside beside the bar where people were sitting waiting their tables. Waiter was fantastic- so friendly and cherry, knowledgeable, helpful, and fast despite how busy he was.

I have so many positive things to say about this restaurant! The location as beautiful and I really appreciated they had chairs outside for people to sit and enjoy the view. This place is very popular, so there was over an hour wait, however, we found two stools at the bar and got our dinner there. Food and service was excellent. We had the added bonus of enjoying the fun chemistry between the male bartenders (hilarious). Don’t pass up a chance for locally harvested fish. We are fans of restaurants like this one that are very conscientious about supporting their local community.

Amazing seafood! Some of the best I’ve had. If you like a bit of a kick, definitely get your fish or shrimp blackened! I had the shrimp po’boy blackened and it was fantastic! The coleslaw was also good and I enjoyed that it wasn’t mayonnaise based; It’s more of a vinegar. Server was also great and very attentive and friendly. Recommend going in between lunch or dinner hours because the wait is crazy long. I’ll definitely be back!
