Had a special of the day. Pulled pork + poached eggs on a biscuit + home potatoes. Small serving vs price. Pulled pork seemed old and a tad on the sweet side. Eggs were done well. But the biscuit is worse if not equivalent to a grocery store packaged kind- not crispy or buttery at all- wasn’t even toasted. The home potatoes were over done. The food was warm and not hot. Considering it was a usual busy lunch day- I’d think the meal would come out freshly made but you can tell when fries has been sitting. Waiter was attentive and friendly. But waiting to order took longer than usual on a busy lunch day. Seems understaffed. Wouldn’t eat on a tight schedule.

Iron Gate is a lovely cafe right on Washington Ave near the Armory. It has a lovely patio, and great privacy from the world outside. They have a great selection of beverages. (I tried a "dirty chai tea) They have a wide selection of food, including several vegetarian option and many gluten free options. I had their handmade black bean burger, and the Iron Goddess salad. Both of were were delicious, satisfying and with portions good enough for left overs.

Yummy breakfast/brunch food. So so so many selections, it’s always hard for me to choose. The stuffed French toast, and the Raspberry Brie French toast are definitely my favorites. 10/10 I recommend :)
