The old standby. Nothing special, standard pub fare, consistently good food. Service is always good and frequently feels genuinely friendly. Sort of a dive atmosphere, but has a certain charm that feels inviting and comfortable. Some locals claim Jake's is actually the best steak place in town – I've only had steak there once and it was pretty good, though I don't recall it being better than other places. Four stars mainly because this seems to be where we go most frequently.

Update: four years since the original review and still hands down the best service and food around, quiet quaint and overall just pleasant experience! Always a good time, love coming here when I'm in town. The service is great, the staff is friendly and the food is on point. Definitely recommend the homemade fries!

Great food and excellent service! Came in with a group of about 25 and our server got our orders taken seamlessly and all of our food came out at once. Definitely recommend Jake’s!
