Had a fish lunch with some friends today at Lake Park Pub. Went with the bluegill, and was somewhat disappointed-as was another who had the bluegill, too. Service was good, coleslaw and potato salad were also good. Just felt that the batter on the fish-while nice and crunchy, overwhelmed the fish, and that they were slightly overdone. Started peeling the coating off, and ended up with a big plate of crunchy batter. This is a nice place, the bar service was good, and in general this is a very place to stop at. Next time-and there will be one, I’ll try the broiled options.

We had been going to the pub for fish for many years. Last week I was very disappointed with our perch as it had a very fishy taste, the fillets were very small and rubbery. The coleslaw was delicious and bread fresh. Perhaps it was just a bad batch. Will still go back as they are great people.
