Mad Kat's is like a home away from home type of vibe. Great service, rocking music and damn good food. Not to mention the drinks are on point! Now, let's talk about the Karaoke nights. WHAT A BLAST!!!! Kat, Heather, Nate and Mike always put on one heck of a show. It does NOT matter if you are the best singer or not. You are made to feel like such a rock star! Customers are always welcomed with a smile and charm! Kat, Steve and the entire crew get 5 stars from me!

Barely a year old as of this past St. Patrick’s Day but yet is one of the best local, family run businesses in the Bangor area. Fantastic bartenders lead by Travis, who’s knowledge of the different beers and liquors far exceeds any bartender in the big cities. John in the back of house knows how to cook a mean burger and fries. And of course, I can’t forget about the bars namesake, the Mad Kat herself, behind the DJ booth. It is her, her husband Steve, and her children Daniel, Dillon, and Katherine that make up the heart that beats 6 days a week. I can’t think of any other bar that can do karaoke 4 1/2 nights a week (the half is a kid’s karaoke on Sundays) and still make money. Somehow, they have found a business model that works.

I come here almost every Sunday for brunch. Perfect portions leave me satisfied, but never with leftovers! Awesome crew there as well!
