Breakfast last weekend. My son had French fries and I had corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns. My son liked the fries and the cook brought them out. They were crinkle cut and they were cooked perfectly. I love corned beef hash but I shouldn’t have ordered it. I like it very crispy and I didn’t mention it when ordering. The over easy eggs were great and hash browns were crispy on top.

Farm fresh eggs, sweet batter pancakes, and bacon like it was meant to be. Be patient, look around at the vintage newspapers. Drink in the luncheonette vibe. This is absolutely the best place to while away the day in Portage.

It was fun to watch the chef create the food into perfection! Hands down the best breakfast we have ever had and we have went to many cafés for breakfast. Friendly staff and at home feel is a side bonus.

We stopped for breakfast on the way to MN. The place was clean, food was reasonable, very good and the staff very friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone. We'll be stopping more often now.

How about removing a couple of booths and putting in real tables with chairs? I was lucky one time and got the only table you have, other three times I got there the table had people sitting there and I left and found some other place where I could comfortably sit and eat. I'm not a cram in a booth type person or sit at a bar stool that is to close to the counter to where you feel like you need something to grab to prevent falling. Get some tables and maybe I'll come back and spend my money at your business.
