I grew up in Chicago and I’ve lived in the suburbs for most of my adult life and it has always been hard to find good ribs or ribs that are smoked and not boiled. My daughter and I saw Station House before they opened and I said to her,”I think we’ll try it”. It wasn’t until last night we decided to give Station House a try, and to my amazement the ribs were excellent, they say Texas, but they had that old south side west side Chicago taste. The ribs seemed to have been smoked to perfection for hours the sides were also excellent and the ambiance was beautiful and the service was wonderful.

I tried ordering online first but it wasn't accepting online orders. So I had to go to The smokehouse and get in line. There was a long line but the food was fantastic. I would recommend checking out their ribs they sell them by the half pound. The brisket and smoked sausage sandwich is or prepared well seasoned not spicy or anything. They're cornbread is amazing. I would definitely recommend coming here and checking out and getting in line to enjoy their food.

Very happy we tried this place! We had the sliced brisket, pastrami, and pork belly. All outstanding. The meats were of such high quality and so well done that sauce was not needed. All three meats were juicy and flavorful but not overpoweringly smoky. Perfect!
Also tried the cornbread, mac and cheese and tater tot casserole. Regular sized sides were more than adequate at $3 each. Will definitely return next time we're in Plainfield.

I loved all the options of meats and sides. Everything tasted pretty delicious too! The inside of the restaurant is cute & designed nicely. There is a section for a bar along with a section to pick out your food. There are tons of indoor seating, and knowledgeable & cool staff. I wish their menu had a combo where you pick 2 meats and 2 sides for X amount of money, but it's: pick anything you want; which turned out to be a $50 meal for just the 2 of us.. pretty pricey, so it will be more of an occasional restaurant for me, but boy am I excited for the next time I go!

The store was crashing and burning. They were out of a lot of things, and took closer to an hour and a half to produce our food.
Sanitation was not considered at all. I watched a manager(?) help refund my food that they had run out of, and them returned directly to the line. It was obvious from the couple minutes he was in front of me that hand washing wasn't something he bothered with.
The person working the take out window didn't know what they were doing, and was very frustrated, because they had a window full of impatient people and no food to give them.
Some other people, also waiting for food, said dining inside was better/faster.
The food itself was okay, but all cold. Given the price and (lack of) service we will likely not be back in the near future.
