Back when this place was Red Arrow Tap, they proudly stated on their menus that they paid their employees a fair wage and tipping was not necessary. Their food and drink was more expensive to compensate, but it all evened out in the end because you didn't have to tip. It was a good experience with a cool self-pour concept. However, now that they've become Tapville, they have kept their high prices (or seemingly raised them) but removed all statements of no-tipping. They also have gratuity boxes when you leave that ask you to tip their staff. So you end up paying vastly more for a cool experience with average food. If you want to become a tipping restaurant, then cool - lower your prices accordingly. But don't keep your prices at the no-tipping amount but then also ask to tip the staff when we leave. Tapville has really increased their marketing over the past few years, trying to sell their self-pour concept. All that marketing comes at a price, and I guess the customers are the ones paying it.

The place is beautiful! The staff is very helpful and explain how to use the card they give for the restaurant. You can make your own beer flights and they have their own specials like cocktail flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I went to try the cheesecake and cocktails flights and it was amazing! The cheesecakes were scrumptious. Each cheesecake paired with one the cocktails! Definitely going to go back to try other flights and their food!!

I'm a Chicago native and it was definitely worth the drive to Naperville. Tapville was a great overall experience. The atmosphere and vibe were laid back and welcoming and the service was outstanding!!! All of the servers were friendly and accommodating. Of course, I can't forget the cuisine. I started with the southwest egg rolls and finished with the honey butter chicken sandwich for my main meal. All chef's kiss! My cousin had the Buffalo cauliflower bites and they were pretty good. I'd definitely visit again. BTW...I can't comment on the drinks because I don't drink alcohol.
