my partner and i decided to stop in for our first time for brunch after reading through promising reviews - however our experience was lackluster. when we first arrived there was a party of 6 that was waiting to be seated, while several smaller parties were stuck behind waiting in a line, with multiple smaller tables open. why was there not a system to manage queue times for different party sizes? after 20-25 of waiting we were seated, the coffee was tasty and food came out very quickly. we ordered the biscuits and gravy - which sounded very delicious. the gravy was 10/10 however the “biscuit” is not your traditional biscuit and was made of oats, with no indication, and the flavor was off. it was not worth $15. we asked for a water, it never came. my partner ordered the chicken and waffles - after trying to wait for our sever to come back we had to ask another server for syrup as ours was MIA? we waited for over 25 minutes for our check, after what felt like our server ignored our table the entire time. it seemed like the restaurant was short staffed, which we were very understanding of, and tried to be as patient as possible - however the staff that was working were young and needed more training or understanding of how they make an impact when serving customers.

Idaho Falls has a unique food scene and Diablas Kitchen is the peak. Excellent food, eclectic vibe, fun drinks, and good service. It’s hard to find a place like this, especially in a small town like Idaho Falls. Lobster ravioli is well worth the price, be ready for the heat.

Whelp looks like we are back to a 1 star review. This restaurant owner is one of a very few that can’t seem to handle the job they created for themselves. If you’re still blaming employee shortages for your inability to keep employees, you are the problem. I have walked up to a locked door more at this place than an open restaurant. Went in for dinner the there night and were turned away because some how the one table in there was just too much. “Serving the ambassador to blah blah is way more exciting “ than feeding the people that try their damnedest to support local. I openly said when we walked out last she doesn’t want our business unless she feels you deserve her food. She had the balls the try to argue with a customer(me) about the perception she constant portrays to customers. The “I’m so good at my job you should call before showing up.” Bite me while I eat other locals food! Oh and the blocking me from the restaurants Facebook page was the last straw. Go somewhere they want your money, treat you well and don’t turn you away at the door constantly.
