We eat here pretty much every time we're in Lander because it's great for my toddler. They have good food for cheap. My toddler and I both enjoy the food and service is good, too.

The Oxbow is a restaurant in Lander, WY, that serves things like meatloaf and pot roast and bison burgers and filling breakfast fare. It has a salad bar and paintings of cowboys. It was here when time began and it will be here when we are all passed on from this Earth and also the gravy you get on your mashed potatoes looks like fudge sauce.
You can get chocolate cream pie and also a long island iced tea. You can also get apple pie and I can never choose so I usually get both (to take home, that is, because good luck packing two generous slices of pie into your gut after finishing a hearty Oxbow main). It has friendly staff and comfortable seating. And the light is very pretty coming in the windows as the sun sets behind the Wind River ranges.
Final notes: the salad bar I mentioned is sumptuously appointed. The Oxbow is, without a word of a lie, my favorite restaurant on the planet and I would eat here every day for every meal if I could.

Very good service and pricing. The food is classic American Diner and is awesome. I had the Prime Rib sandwich and finished with the chocolate pie. Phenomenal.

Heard great things about this place. All was true and more. We had the chicken strip dinner and grilled cheese with bake potato and started with the sampler. Everything was awesome and the service from Vikki was even better! We will be back for sure! The place was packed and she didn’t miss a beat with anything.

Waited over 20 minutes to get seated while tables where open. Got seated waited 10 minutes for drink order to get taken. Then two other tables that had been seated after us got there orders taken before ours. We ordered two appetizers that showed up one minute before our main. Food was edible but wasn't off the charts. Service sucked won't be returning.
