Beautiful restaurant, with good food, good service and good views. I removed one star only coz you don't get a view after sunset. The glass reflects a lot, and you only end up seeing the reflection of the restaurant rather than the glow from the lava..so it's better to go during the day. The views are great then. Do reserve a table before you go. Once you have a reservation they are flexible to let you in earlier or later, which I appreciated. But make sure to have a reservation.

The view is fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was very slow, the food was only OK, and the prices were high. My grilled chicken burger with fries was food, but nothing special. There is potential here for The Rim to be a truly memorable dining experience but it's going to take more than a great view.

View and service was exceptional, food was better than average. We had Hawaiian plate and salad. They were better than other places. Sure, the prices don’t compete with food trucks but the experience is also very different! At least worth 4!
