The Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern La Crosse WI

An eloquent place to dine for a fine meal. Our waitress was attentive, explained the specials and was friendly. My husband had a delicious steak, cooked just the way he likes it. I had a half of crab. It was great. Reminded me of having crab at a seaside resturant. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a great dining experience.

I never write reviews, but I just have to tell everyone about the wonderful experience we had at The Waterfront yesterday. I had a reservation for 15 for graduation weekend, and it was superb. We had a beautiful private room with a view of the water, the food and the service was out of this world, and the big square table and quiet room meant that our large group could all visit and talk easily. We were not rushed, and had a long leisurely enjoyable dinner. We enjoyed all our food. Many of us got the prime rib special, and shared the calamari and escargot appetizers which were great. Try the virgin mojito! Our server Brittany was amazing. She remembered many little details, made everyone me feel welcome, and did a wonderful job of describing the food and drink so we all knew what was good and what to expect. I would not hesitate to go back for any dinner, but for a special occasion you cannot do better than The Waterfront. Thanks to all the staff!!

The main dining room is very nice and has a more upscale menu than the patio. Looks very good, but I have not had dinner here. The Tavern portion of this restaurant encompasses the entire patio and bar portion of this gorgeous restaurant, which is right on the river. Very popular for happy hour and Sunday brunch. In my opinion, this is the best place to sit on the patio in the LaCrosse area !
