TLDR: Best dinner in Jackson Wyoming.
We stayed in Jackson for five days and were largely underwhelmed with the dinners we had. Several of the restaurants we ate at were highly recommended by travel guides and we found the flavor to be bland and the prices to be outrageous for the quality of the meals.
On our last night we considered eating in but instead decided to try the Whistling Grizzly which we found on Google Maps. The reviews seemed promising so we decided to give it a shot. This meal was FANTASTIC. The service was phenomenal. The trout dip appetizer was phenomenal. The Elk Tenderloin was some of the best meat I've ever had. The carrot cake is amazing (I don't usually like carrot cake and I would go back just to eat this one). The fact that this was the easiest restaurant for us to make a reservation at this week is insane. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Jackson.

This place is amazing from the service, atmosphere and food. Everything is fresh and very decadent with rich flavors. The chef knows what he is doing. I had the Elk and It was cooked to perfection with great flavors highly recommended. The fish dip is 5 star.

My husband and I just had the best trout dinner ever! The smoked trout appetizer was out of this world good. Why is it the best restaurants are far from home. Kudos to the chef!!

This small restaurant is amazing. The smoked trout dip is amazing. The simple burgers and fries and to die for. The fries are perfect and tasty. Not your kids for sure. These are great. The burger with the bourbon onions was so good. The hangar steak with the chimichuri sauce was outstanding. Everything is top notch. The chocolate torte is not so sweet yet chocolatey. A small gem. Be sure to make reservations as not a big place but the food and service is the best.

The food was phenomenal! I highly recommend trying the mushroom bread or the striped bass. If you don’t like fish, then the steak is always a great option. To top it all off the staff were amazing! Our waiter had the best personality!! Thank you for a great experience!
