We decided to give Uncle Larry's Rustic Inn a try for Father's Day after hearing many good things. It did not disappoint! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The service was quick, and the food was DELICIOUS! We had the friend pickles, Philly cheesesteak, fiesta salad with grilled chicken, crispy chicken sandwich, rib and chicken combo, and 5 cheese plank burger. We left very full and with some left overs because of the generous portion sizes. Would definitely recommend!

So delicious! The Sunday menu was nice and simple. I had the chicken breast sandwich and it was just right! We had a group of 13 including some kids. We were able to make a reservation the day before. We will definitely be back!

We had a very disappointing meal tonight at Uncle Larry's Rustic Inn. We ordered the nightly special four piece chicken dinner as all dark we also ordered an appetizer of the onion straws and a burger.
They could tell that we were not the Monday night regulars so they gave us poor service. The potato was rock hard overcooked and black. The chicken they brought was the standard mix not the all dark we upgraded for. The chicken they did bring us was subpar you could see the bone there was hardly any meat on the little tiny drumstick and the thigh was a size of a deck of cards. Really disappointing meal we brought it to their attention and they said sorry but more chicken is down it'll take another 10 minutes. My wife waited half an hour for her meal and we still never got the potato and the replacement chicken. The onion straws were heavily salted and very greasy. I do not recommend this restaurant until they get this corrected and satisfy this customer.

This is a cozy little restaurant in Hartford. Staff was friendly and the owner was very welcoming. Service was a little slow but it seemed like they were under staffed which is understandable given the time we live in. The food... my daughters got a simple kids cheeseburger and Mac and cheese (not kraft, was actually home cooked style). Husband and I both got the chicken and fish Friday combo. The chicken was very tasty, I would come back just for the chicken. The fish though was lacking in any kind of flavor. The only flavor you got was from the tarter sauce. That was disappointing.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Uncle Larry's! Uncle Larry's has a children's menu with a picture of Uncle Larry for the kids to color with Crayola crayons.. Both the adult and children's menu has American Fare including a fish fry! The cheese curds were just as good if bit better than the fast food restaurant with custard... yes they were that good. We all had cheeseburgers and our burgers were cooked correctly, juicy, fresh, and by far the best tasting I've had in a long time. The fries are definitely not pulled from the freezer and fried. I had the sweet potato fries which were were not too salty, slightly crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. So so good! The regular fries were the same. They have a full bar with soda, beer, wine and N/A specialty options too. Thanks Uncle Larry for the great meal. We will be back!
