We did brunch on Saturday at 10:30 and the place was already busy. Was seated right on time, did outdoor dining, was so fun. Waitress was very courteous and helpful. Food was fresh and delicious. There was 4 of us, so we all ordered different items. I had the Savory Crepes, was very good. The flat iron steak and eggs was awesome. Crab cake Benedict was very different from the usual type, definitely would get again. The Cuban was very tasty. The Bloody Mary was outstanding. Next time we plan on ordering Mimosa Flights which we actually saw on Fox 29 news. Would recommend highly. Next visit we are planning dinner. Keep up the good work, and friendly atmosphere.

My husband and I were really excited about trying Union and Finch after seeing the owner on the Philly morning news. We stopped by around 1pm Sunday and were able to get a reservation for outside seating at 3:15pm. We came back a couple minutes prior to our reservation and were promptly seated and provided with utensils and menus. However, this was the last of the attention we received. We saw 3 different servers in the outside area, but none came over to greet us, take drink orders, or take our food order. At the 20 minute mark, we decided to leave. We stopped by the hostess to let her know she could provide our table to someone else and we explained our reason - we had waited 20 minutes with no one coming over to start our drink or food order. The response was a pretty nonchalant and dry, “OK, sorry about that.” The tone made me wonder for a moment if this was a common occurrence. I think we were hoping for a bit more urgency/accountability/solution finding, especially because we expressed ourselves politely, not wanting to make a big fuss. In hindsight, perhaps requesting to speak to a manager would have been better, but the excitement to try this place was already ruined. So, our experience was pretty disappointing. After reading through the reviews more, it seems the culture of the servers and perhaps the owners is a bit nonchalant or lacking attention to customers at times. That was unfortunately the case for us.

I expected more and got less. The food looks and sounds good but it falls short. I ordered the specialty waffle and received a hard cold waffle with fruit topping. Nothing like the waitress described. I order eggs over medium and they out hard twice. I settled for an omelette. On the other hand my husband enjoyed his food. The mimosas and service were good.
