Good prices, good meat, always nice people and great portions definitely makes you full. They have their own sauces, I've been here a few times but came back after not going for about a year and I swear the sweet sauce is different somehow, I definitely liked the old a lot better. I love the atmosphere, even have some outdoor seating and added on, and I love looking at the unique license plates.

UPDATE MARCH 2021. Still one of the best around.. ribs were smoky, flavorful, and tender. 4 Years Ago: I have only a few BBQ favorites in the greater Omaha metro area. Smoke U is in that top tier. Prices are more than fair, and portions are good. We had a brisket sandwich and 1/2 rack of ribs. They really pile on the brisket. It was tender and had a great smoky flavor. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone. The ribs came covered in BBQ sauce. I prefer them dry leaving me the choice as to what to put on them, or not. That's kind of a regional thing. You order at the counter, get your own drinks, and they bring out the meal... quite promptly even though the place was busy on a Thursday night. They seem to do a big take-out business based on the several people that came in that picked up huge foil pans of food. Mini-meals come wiht an entree, drink and one-side. Our bill for two came to $27

Food was good. A bit pricey. First time visitors and the woman working was not pleasant at all. From the moment we walked in, she kinda growled at us. Then when trying to decide, she was less than willing to answer my questions. (Even after I told her we had never been there) Then when I asked for a yorkie sized side of meat, she only could sell meat by the pound. 🙄 Honestly, cool vibe. But the lady needs to be replaced with someone who is interested in being polite and giving good customer service. Photo is the Piggyback special.
