We decided to try this Cajun spot a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad we did! It’s a nice little spot close to the Galleria Mall and they put Cajun right there in that little spot. I had the Shrimp & Grits which was a nice choice. Now, these Shrimp & Grits are different than any I have ever had. You get anything from grits on top of shrimp to an actual shrimp and grits dish at other restaurants then you get these shrimp and grits! The Shrimp & Grits at Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill are differently amazing. They are the most moist I have ever had and it’s a dish where the shrimp and grits go nicely together. Moist you ask? Yes, this dish has a lot of liquid which I enjoy. I assume it is coming from cooking the shrimp like shrimp scampi and then bringing it all together. I just stirred mine all up and had some of the best Shrimp & Grits I have ever had. Glad we went and we will surely be back!!!!!!

The meal was a disappointment. The crab claws were fishy the food was over spiced. 75 bucks with no alcohol purchased. Definitely was not a $75 meal. It was just the wife and I for her birthday. Restaurants are so hit and missed these days.

My wife and I have been eating at Cajun Steamer for years. We have always enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the servers. Things have changed. We didn’t think new management would be a bad thing, as the only thing servers complained about was not having enough servers scheduled. We thought it would get better. There are more servers, but the food isn’t as good our past 3 visits and the drinks are just mixers and no taste of liquor. It’s sad that we have to find a new regular place. Follow Up: I promptly emailed the "socialmedia@cajunsteamer" as the owner's reply suggested. I was really hoping for a reassurance that the last 3 visits were an anomaly. Alas, no response from the owner in the last 2 days. I guess it is the new norm. It really WAS a great place.
