Had a great breakfast at David Reay's. Food was delicious and service was extraordinary. Everyone including the hostess, the bartender and all of the servers stopped to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. Excellent mix of music playing added to the atmosphere. Will definitely be going back!

I went in to enjoy some drinks and appetizers and enjoyed the environment as well as the food and drinks. There was a lady with a very demeaning tone about quite a few things that weren’t necessarily in anyones control that she had a problem with and made it seem as if she was above everyone else but the bartender/manager handle it very professionally even after another guest from the same party came to the bar for a soda and continued to complain about the price which is again, out of their control. Although I hope that party of 30+ night got better I hope people realize that everywhere you go nowadays are understaffed and trying their best given the circumstances.

Food is overpriced. Server was horrendous. She took our drink order & left. Another server walked up & said he was our server. As we were telling him someone already took our drink order the 1st server came flying up to our table & very rudely barked "this is my table" at him. He graciously walked away & we were left feeling uncomfortable with our jaws on the table. She brought our drinks out, set them on the table & shoved them across the table. We were waiting for one of them to tip over all over the table & in our laps. I ordered a steak, medium. My steak came out still mooing so I asked her to have it put back on the grill. She snatched it out of my hands & walked away with it without saying a word. We wanted to order cheese curds but couldn't remember if we actually did so we asked the server, she stood there with a blank look on her face like she was very confused. We finally said if we didn't order them, we want to order some. She continued looking at us confused & then walked away. The service was slow & it took us 2 hour's to get in & out which didn't work with our schedule as we were headed to a wedding reception that we ended up late for. You can afford to skip this place.

Very cool place! Enjoyed the menu options. There were great traditional American grille options but also some great unique ones! Will be back the next time we are in La Crosse

My family have eaten here many times, we’ve enjoyed the food each time, but service has been getting slower and slower and slower. Tonight was our 5th visit and after girl at the front acted like we were annoying her coming in for dinner. We were seated and ignored. 20 minutes passed and four tables were sat in our section, and got attention from the server immediately. After being ignored for as long as we were we got a servers attention and nothing changed. We didn’t even get water. We got up and told the girl and the front and told her we were leaving after 30 minutes of being ignored at this point and got “oh” and she walked away.
If this is how your serving on a Wednesday night I can’t believe how bad service is on a Friday or Saturday. Two stars because your food is great, but even short handed this service is awful. We left and went to another restaurant, that is also short handed and got 5 star service from a server working at least 15 tables alone.
We may come back again but not for a long time.
